Estonia's president names Andrus Ansip as new prime

minister TALLINN, Estonia, April 3, SPA -- Estonia's president nominatedReform Party leader Andrus Ansip as prime minister todayand ordered him to form a new government, reported the Associated Press. Ansip, who had led the government since April 2005, isexpected to propose a Cabinet for parliamentary approvalWednesday and present the government's program tolawmakers. On Monday, three parties _ the Reform Party, the IRL unionand the Social Democratic Party _ signed an agreement toform a center-right coalition government led by Ansip. President Toomas Hendrik Ilves then nominated him. Under the deal, Reform will keep the key posts of foreignand justice ministers, while IRL will take over the Defenseand Economic Affairs ministries and the Social Democratswill get the finance and interior portfolios.
