CAIRO, Egypt, MAR.19,SPA_ A minibus and a truck collided, then ataxi rammed into the vehicles in a three-vehicle accidentMonday that killed 15 people in southern Egypt, policesaid, ACCORDING TO (AP) The vehicles were speeding on a highway near the southerncity of Assiut when the accident occurred, said Maj. Gen. Montasir Shuaib, the head of Assiut's security department. The minibus carrying passengers and a truck carryingtomatos, both heading the same way on the route, hit eachother and flipped over. Then the taxi barrelled into theother two vehicles, Shuaib said. Fifteen people were killed and three others injured. Road accidents are common in Egypt because of bad roadsand poor enforcement of traffic laws. Police estimate roadaccidents kill about 6,000 people annually.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/434002
