Washington, MAY 24, SPA -- President George W. Bush today in a speech at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut said that the United States has made gains in the war against terrorism, but it is not yet safe. Bush promoted his strategy of taking the fight to the enemy and going on the offensive by waging war in Afghanistan and Iraq. He said that the United States cannot afford to get complacent, as terrorists are plotting everywhere. Bush used the occasion to list a few of the successes that the United States has had fighting terrorism, including recently declassified information on the disruption of a plot to attack Los Angeles with a hijacked plane. The United States, Bush said, needs to be right 100 percent of the time. Terrorists only have to be right once. --SPA www.spa.gov.sa/452660
