AMMAN, May 14, SPA -- Jordan's King Abdullah II affirmed today that time was running out to use an Arab peace plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to a royal palace statement. He made these remarks during a meeting with the visiting U.S. Vice President, Dick Cheney on Monday. The Jordanian Monarch also called for a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear standoff with the West, the statement said. «Jordan stands in support of a peaceful resolution to the issue of Iran's nuclear capabilities that would spare the region further tensions,» the King told Cheney in aclosed-door meeting at his beachside residence inthe Red Sea resort of Aqaba.
