MWL expresses grief over developments in Palestinian territories

MAKKAH, JUNE 16, SPA -- THE GENERAL SECRETARIAT OF THE MUSLIM WORLD LEAGUE (MWL) HAS EXPRESSED GRIEF AND SORROW OVER THE RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES. A STATEMENT RELEASED BY THE MWL'S SECRETARY GENERAL, DR ABDULLAH AL-TURKI SAID PALESTINIAN-PALESTINIAN FIGHTING WILL NEVER BENEFIT THE PALESTINIANS AND THEIR CAUSE. THE STATEMENT WARNED AGAINST CONTINUATION OF FIGHTING AMONG THE PALESTINIANS, AND SAID THE MWL AND THE MUSLIM NATIONS HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING UP WITH GREAT CONCERN THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS AT THE PALESTINIAN ARENA. THE STATEMENT REGRETTED THE FAILURE OF THE PALESTINIANS TO ADHERE TO THE ARTICLES OF MAKKAH AGREEMENT SIGNED IN THE VICINITY OF THE HOLY MOSQUE. THE PALESTINIAN ORGANIZATIONS SHOULD WORK FOR THE SERVICE OF THEIR CAUSE AND REALIZING THE ASPIRATIONS OF THE PALESTINIANS.
