Amman, April 23, SPA -- Secretary General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine Naif Hawatma has said Israel is not concerned with the acceptance of durable and comprehensive peace with the Arab countries. In a statement published here today, Hawatma said Israel, with the support of the US, has been working to undermine the Arab peace initiative of its basic contents and to drive the Arab countries to the stage of normalization of their relations with Tel Aviv without Israel committing anything towards peace. 'Israel has been working to transform the Arab peace initiative from an initiative that aims at reaching a balanced resolution to the Palestinian problem to mere negotiations that lead to further Arab concessions for the sake of Israel. Hawatma urged the Arab countries to form working committees for leading the Arab diplomatic move at the international arena for gaining more support to the Arab peace initiative and to put pressure on Israel until it accepts the just, comprehensive and durable peace in the region.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/443461
