Russia and North Korea to sign several agreements

Moscow, Mar. 23, SPA -- Russia and North Korea will sign several agreements in the first half of this year, including accords on the use of manpower, on customs cooperation and motor carriages, co-chairman of the RF-DPRK Inter-Government Commission Konstantin Pulikovsky, who also heads Rostekhnadzor, stated here of Friday, summing up the results of the commission's work, Itar-Tass reported. "Several weeks are yet needed" to finalise those agreement and "they will be signed already in the first half of this year", he specified. "The main task was to resume the commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, which were a bit frozen during the past six years," he stressed. The commission discussed some problems of cooperation in energy and development of transport services and engineering, as well as interaction in the timber industry and the use of Korean manpower to fell timber in Russia. "We were able to find ways to settle all the problems in question and have agreed to jointly settle the still remaining ones.
