Georgia's FM calls for enhanced ties with Iran

Baku, May 20, SPA -- Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili stressed Friday in Tbilisi the significance of bolstering bilateral ties with Iran. He made the remark in a meeting with the Deputy Iranian Foreign Minister Mehdi Mostafavi, who is currently in Georgia on a two-day visit. Referring to Tehran-Tbilisi friendly ties, he called for beefing up efforts to expand mutual relations in various political, economic and cultural fields. During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional developments including Iraqi crisis, Russia-Georgia ties and conflicts between Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
