ISLAMABAD, MARCH 3, SPA -- A meeting of the Pakistan-India Joint Anti-Terror Mechanism is scheduled for March 6-7, officials said. They said that the two countries are engaged in finalizing the agenda of the meeting. The Pakistani side will be headed by Tariq Osman Hyder, Additional Secretary, Foreign Office, whereas the Indian delegation would be led by KC Singh, Additional Secretary, External Affairs Ministry of India. Officials said that the two sides would discuss all terrorism related issues during the talks but their focus would be on the Samjhota Express tragedy in which dozens of Pakistanis were killed and injured. They said that India has shown its readiness to share the information of the terrorist attack on the train that was a symbol of peace and friendship between the neighbouring states. The two countries are already discussing counter-terrorism as part of the composite dialogue process but this new mechanism is meant for quick information sharing, officials said. This is going to be the first meeting of the mechanism so it is very important that the two sides approach it with a constructive mind, officials added.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/429668
