ISLAMABAD, DEC 13, SPA -- The first meeting of Pak-Brunei Joint Working Committee on Defence Cooperation has concluded at Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, with the pledge to increase defence cooperation between the two brotherly countries, says an official statement. The meeting was co-chaired by Pakistan s Defence Secretary Lt-Gen Tariq Waseem Ghazi and his Brunei counterpart Dato Paduka Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat. The meeting was held in cordial and friendly atmosphere and expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved during the course of two days discussion. It agreed to increase defence cooperation between the two countries. Both sides emphasized the need for closer interaction between the Armed Forces of the two countries. The meeting also agreed to enhance cooperation in the area of military training. Ghazi also called on the Commanders of Armed Forces and Air Force of Brunei and discussed with them matters of mutual interest.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/410915
