Seoul, Dec 1, SPA -- South Korea's new ForeignMinister Song Min-soon said Friday that international talks aimed at ending North Korea's nuclear programs may not take place until January, a news report said. «North Korea may require more time for its in-depthanalysis of the situation following the just-endedworking-level contacts in Beijing and U.S. President George W. Bush's changed attitude,» Song told reporters after receiving a letter of appointment from South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun as Seoul's top diplomat, according to Yonhap news agency. His remarks came days after the United States conveyed new proposals to the North at meetings in China to convince the recalcitrant communist country give up its nuclear program. «We'll strive hard to resume the six-party talks inDecember, but they could be delayed to next month,» hewas quoted as saying by the Associated Press.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/407702
