Chinese President Hu plans address to Pakistani nation

ISLAMABAD, NOV 22, SPA -- Chinese President Hu Jintao, who arrives in Islamabad on Thursday on a state visit, will address the Pakistani nation on Friday, says an official statement. His address will be broadcast and telecast live from Islamabad's Convention Centre. It will be a singular distinction for the top ranking Chinese leader to directly speak to the Pakistani people. The occasion reflects the warmth and depth of Sino-Pak relationship, both at government and the people-to-people levels, which is often projected with popular phrases, such as evergreen, time-tested and all-weather , the statement said. The Chinese leader will hold wide-ranging talks with President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on matters of mutual interest, aimed at further consolidating their existing strategic partnership.
