KABUL, April 22, SPA _ A suicide bomber blew himself up Sunday in an east Afghan city, killing three civilians and wounding two police officers, an official said. The attack came on the heels of a blast at a nearby market that killed a shopkeeper. Acting on a tip, police tried to stop a suspicious lookingman in the city of Khost, said provincial police chief Gen. Mohammad Ayub. When he tried to flee, police chased him and opened fire on him, at which point he detonated hisexplosives, Ayub said. An earlier bomb attack at a shop in a Khost market left ashopkeeper dead and eight people wounded, Ayub said,describing the incident as a dispute between differenttribes, the Associated Press reported.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/443146
