Washington, Nov 13, SPA--U.S. President George W. Bush on Monday met with a bipartisan panel of distinguished Americans who are developing a plan for success in Iraq. The Iraq Study Group (ISG), chaired by former Secretary of State James Baker, is the great hope of Washington Republicans and Democrats, and Bush himself has heralded the group as his administration’s best source of new ideas. On Sunday, some Bush’ administration officials previewed the ISG meeting with a hopeful tone.“The president looks forward to sharing his thoughts with the Iraq Study Group, as do other administration officials,” said Gordon Johndroe, spokesman for the National Security Council. “He is open to any ideas and suggestions on the way forward.”The study group met not only with Bush, but also with Vice President Dick Cheney and National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley. --SPA www.spa.gov.sa/402993
