JENIN, West Bank, Dec 20, SPA _ The Israeli army killed two Palestinians during an arrest raid in a West Bankvillage early Wednesday, Palestinian and Israeli officialssaid. Islamic Jihad announced over mosque loudspeakers around the northern West Bank that the two men killed in Sila, near Jenin, were members of the group. Palestinian security officials said an Israeli forceentered Sila and surrounded a house, waging a gun battlewith the militants barricaded inside. The officials spokeon condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the press. The Israeli army said the two militants were involved in attempts to carry out bomb attacks in Israel, and that troops had killed them during an attempted arrest operation, the Associated Press reported.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/412638
