KABUL, Afghanistan, Oct 16, SPA -- A suicide car bomber blew himself up in the Afghan capital on Monday slightly wounding one child, police and witnesses said. Police had been following the bomber and surrounded him before he blew himself up in an area of Kabul near itsinternational airport, said Mirza Mohammed, a policeofficer at the scene. One child was lightly wounded in the blast and taken to a hospital for treatment, witnesses said.
