NEW DELHI, OCT 9, SPA -- India said Monday it was «deeply concerned» by North Korea's claim to have conducted a nuclear test, warning it could jeopardize peace in the region, the external affairs ministry said. In a strongly worded statement, India said Pyongyang is «in violation of its international commitments,jeopardizing peace, stability and security on the KoreanPeninsula and in the region.» New Delhi said it was monitoring the situation and is intouch with several countries about the test, the Associated Press reported.
