PARIS, Aug 24, SPA -- French President Jacques Chirac will appear on television later Thursday to announce whether France will send more troops to the U.N. peacekeeping force in Lebanon, his office said. Chirac was to make the announcement around 8 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), his office said after a Cabinet meeting.
