Johannesburg, Sept 5, SPA -- Russian President Vladimir Putin arrivedTuesday for a two-day state visit to South Africa, the first suchvisit by a Russian head of state, DPA reported. Upon landing at Cape Town airport he was met by South AfricanForeign Minister Nkosazana Dlami-Zuma. Putin was scheduled to meetwith President Thabo Mbeki later Tuesday and to make a speech atparliament. Talks between the leaders were expected to focus on bilateralrelations and the situation in Iran and the Middle East. Putin wasalso expected to sign a number of agreements.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/387200
