ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN, OCTOBER 3 – Chairman of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman Dr. Yahya Mahfooz Al-Manzari will soon pay an official visit to Pakistan, Oman Ambassador to Islamabad Muhammad Said Mohamed Al-Lawai said. He handed over to Pakistan Upper House of Parliament Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro a letter from Chairman of the State Council of the Sultanate of Oman, accepting the invitation extended by him to visit Pakistan, according to an official statement. The invitation was extended by Soomro to his Omani counterpart to promote bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries. Soomro said during his meeting with Al-Lawai that Pakistan and Oman were brotherly countries closely knit in the bonds of fraternity and bound together by centuries old ties of history and religion. He said Pakistan greatly valued its friendship with Oman and was keen to further promote these ties. Soomro said that the people of Oman are good businessmen and there is tremendous scope for further consolidation and improvement in various fields particularly in trade and commerce.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/393823
