VIENNA, Austria, Aug 28, SPA -- The international community must throw its support behind moderates in the Middle East if the cease-fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon is to hold, Austria's foreign minister said Monday. Ursula Plassnik urged world leaders not to forget «thefate and the future of the Palestinians» as they seek tocement the uneasy peace in the region. Bolstering the U.N. peacekeeping force, she said, «can only be part of alarger process.» «Forces of moderation» in the region must be supported if the Security Council resolution that ended 34 days of fighting is to lead to a lasting armistice," she was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/385538
