MIR ALI, Pakistan, March 9, SPA -- Tribal militants launched rocketson a military post Thursday in a volatile Pakistani regionnear the Afghan border, killing two paramilitary soldiersand wounding another, a security official said. The attack happened before dawn on the outskirts of MirAli, a town in North Waziristan where military raids havekilled an estimated 100 pro-Taliban fighters in the pastweek, said the official, who spoke on condition ofanonymity because he was not authorized to speak to media. The attack sparked a two-hour gunbattle in the village ofAnghar, the official was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
