DAMASCUS, Syria, AUG 6, SPA -- A Palestinian faction said Sunday that one of its members was killed in Israeliair strikes on its bases in Lebanon. It was the first known death of a Palestinian fighter inside Lebanon in nearly a month of Israeli attacks. The Popular Front for the Liberation of PalestineGeneral-Command said several fighters were also woundedin Israeli attacks on at least two bases in southeasternLebanon. A statement from the group issued inDamascus said Israeli warplanes have attacked a number ofits positions in the eastern Bekaa Valley and south ofBeirut throughout the war.
