Beirut (SPA) - Israel fired Saturday around 4,000 shells at acluster of fifteen Shiite villages close to its border, Lebanese police said. "In the last seven hours we have counted some 4,000 shells thatfell in the area of fifteen villages which are some five kilometersfrom the border," the police was quoted as saying by the German News Agency "DPA." "We have reports that fifteen people were wounded, but casualtiesare less because most of the people have fled the targeted areas. Itis the heaviest (shelling) we've witnessed so far," the police said. Israel has vowed to establish a security zone free of Hezbollahfighters in the area.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/380884
