Head of Russian space company charged with spying for China

Moscow, Nov 14, SPA -- The head of a Russian rocket and spacetechnology company has been arrested on espionage chargesand accused of delivering sensitive technology to China inviolation of state export controls, the Federal SecurityService said Monday. Igor Reshetin, director of TsNIIMASH-Export, is chargedwith the illegal transfer of state-controlled technology toa Chinese company, according to the press service of theFederal Security Service, or FSB. Reshetin is also charged with stealing 30 million rubles(US$1 million, ¤850,000) through a scheme involving fakecompanies and falsified documents, and two of his deputiesare charged in connection with the alleged theft, it said.--SPA1442 Local Time 1142 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/302559
