Blast shuts oil pipeline north of Baghdad

Baghdad, Sept 7, SPA -- A blast on Wednesday damaged apipeline used for shipping oil from a field near theIranian border to Baghdad, police said. The explosion on the line from Khanaqin to the al-Dorarefinery caused a blaze in Thiaa Thiaa village, east of thecity Baqouba which is 60 kilometers (35 miles) north of thecapital, the provincial police said.
