Kabul, Afghanistan, Dec 22, SPA -- An Afghan court on Thursdaysentenced to death two men after it found them guilty ofkidnapping an Italian aid worker for three weeks this year,and murdering the son of an Afghan businessman. Abdul Baset Bakhtyari, president of the National SecurityCourt, said Temur Shah and two other accomplices wereresponsible for kidnapping CARE International workerClementina Cantoni and abducting and killing the son of anAfghan businessman. Shah and Haroom, another defendant who goes by one name,were sentenced to death after a one-day trial in the Kabulcourt. A third man, only known as Esat, received 20 yearsin prison, Bakhtyari said. He said the convicted men would appeal, according to a report of The Associated Press.
