Paris, Oct 18, SPA -- Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and LebanesePrime Minister Fuad Saniora held talks at a U.N.-sponsoredmeeting Tuesday. The two leaders did not comment to reporters as they wentinto talks at a Paris hotel. But a Lebanese diplomat saidthey were expected to discuss possibilities for disarmingPalestinian refugees in Lebanon, as well as regulatingweapons within refugee camps. They also were expected to talk about the possibility ofthe Palestinians opening an embassy in Lebanon for thefirst time, and general economic and social relations, theLebanese official was quoted as saying by The Associated Press. After the talks, Abbas was to leave for Madrid, Spain,then head to Washington.
