Moscow, Jan 17, SPA -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov saidTuesday that sanctions are not the best way to resolve theIranian nuclear crisis, and that all nations involvedshould keep nonproliferation as their main goal. "Sanctions are not the best or the only way to solveinternational problems," Lavrov told a news conference."Our common efforts should be aimed at getting answers toall the questions, without exception, which were posed byexperts of the International Atomic Energy Agency." The Associated Press quoted Lavrov as saying that raising the prospect of sanctions was tantamount to "putting the cart before the horse." "Our common goal is to ensure the inviolability of thenuclear nonproliferation regime," he said.
