Washington, Nov 10, SPA -- Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Ahmed Chalabi and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice yesterday had a "good meeting," in which they discussed several issues of importance to the future of Iraq. State Department spokesman Adam Ereli told reporters in Washington that the secretary and deputy prime minister discussed "a full range of issues regarding Iraq-economic, security, political…They talked about some of the challenges that Iraq is working to overcome, particularly in the areas of refining capacity, oil production, encouraging private investment and foreign investment in Iraq." Ereli said that Rice and Chalabi also discussed the relentless insurgency in Iraq, noting that they concluded that progress has been made in training Iraqi security forces.
