Islamabad, Jan 1, SPA -- Pakistan and India on Sundayexchanged lists of their nuclear facilities, a requirementevery Jan. 1 under an accord in which they promised not toattack each other's nuclear installations. "The governments of Pakistan and India today exchangedlists of their respective nuclear installations andfacilities" under the 1988 agreement, Pakistan's ForeignMinistry said in a statement Sunday. Pakistan handed over its list of nuclear sites to anIndian diplomat in Islamabad, while a Pakistani diplomatreceived India's list in New Delhi, the statement said. Both countries conducted nuclear weapons tests in 1998. In January 2004, the two sides began a series ofnegotiations aimed at resolving the Kashmir issue and otherdisputes, according to a report of The Associated Press. Top foreign ministry officials from Pakistan and India areto meet Jan. 17-18 in New Delhi for talks on Kashmir andother issues.
