Tehran, June 4 (SPA) - Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called on Saturday for a big turnout in the June 17 presidential polls, Reuters reported. As hundreds of thousands of Iranians flocked to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini's mausoleum to mark the 16th anniversary of his death, Khamenei, his successor, said a low turnout would benefit only the nation's enemies. "People's presence at the polls will make the country, Islam and the nation's future immune to the enemies' plots," Khamenei said in a speech broadcast live on state media. --SPA 1448 Local Time 1148 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/267378
