Bishkek, March 26, SPA -- Kyrgyzstan's parliament onSaturday set June 26 as the date for an election to replacePresident Askar Akayev, who was ousted after demonstratorsstormed government headquarters, the Interfax news agencyreported. It was not immediately clear whether elections would alsobe called for parliament. This year's disputedparliamentary elections, which triggered the uprisingagainst Akayev, were annulled by the Supreme Court afterThursday's storming.
