Islamabad, March 26, SPA -- Pakistan's prime ministerpraised Washington on Saturday for making a long-awaiteddecision to sell F-16 warplanes to his country. "It is a good and very important decision. We welcomeit," Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said in an address at agraduation parade for Pakistan Air Force cadets nearRisalpur, a garrison town in northwestern Pakistan. Aziz's comments came a day after a U.S. official said theUnited States has agreed to sell F-16 fighter aircraft toPakistan, a move seen as rewarding Pakistan for its supportof the U.S. war on terror. Aziz on Saturday said Pakistan had "no aggressive intentions against any country."
