Washington, March 26, SPA -- U.S. President George W. Bush has realized that relations with France and Germany are essential for bringing peace to Iraq and securing the war against terrorism, the French ambassador to the United States said Friday. Jean-David Levitte, speaking at the Washington-based Institute for Near East Policy, described a dramatic positive shift in diplomatic relations between the two countries. One major outcome from these improved relations has been the progress made in negotiations with Iran, Levitte argued, saying the talks sponsored by Britain, France and Germany have received "a boost from the United States."--SPA1207 Local Time 0907 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/249838
