Beijing, March 10, SPA -- An explosion in a northern Chinese coalmine caused a massive cave-in that trapped 29 miners belowground, officials and the government's Xinhua News Agencyreported Thursday. The blast ripped through the Xiangyuangou No. 2 mine inShanxi province's Jiacheng county on Wednesday afternoon as83 miners were at work in the shaft, Xinhua said.
