El-Arish, Egypt, Sept 10, SPA -- Egypt deployed the first batch of750 border troops along its desert frontier with the GazaStrip on Saturday in line with Israel's withdrawal from the Palestinian area, an Egyptian official said. Mohammed Youssef, an official with the Egyptian StateInformation Service based in the Egyptian border city ofRafah, said 200 soldiers were deployed on Saturday and theremainder would take their places during the next fourdays.
