Al-Quds city, June 6 (SPA) - Israel has withdrawn 13 non-essential staff from its embassy in Uzbekistan in response to a "specific terrorist threat" against an Israeli target, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday. Reuters quoted Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev as saying that the staff members returned to Israel after leaving over the weekend. "This was done in response to a specific terrorist threat against an Israeli target," he said, declining to specify what the target was. "The ambassador is still there and the embassy is functioning, but with essential staff only." Regev said the decision to remove staff was taken once Israel was "convinced there was a serious threat". --SPA 1503 Local Time 1203 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/267810
