Highlighting the success of the Saudi-American partnership, Prince Abdullah said 'we have started cooperation with the American companies in production, refining and marketing of petroleum, and this cooperation has been developed into a fruitful cooperation in a manner that has enabled us to implement the biggest projects of chemical industries in the region'. 'Taking into account the great importance we have been attaching to the stability of the world oil market in a manner that positively contributes to the growth of the world economy, I would like to call for convening an energy forum in Riyadh in the last quarter of this year', he said adding that 'I would like to urge you to continue cooperation with the Kingdom in domains of mining and gas which open wide horizons for investment'. 'I do believe that there are great investment opportunities either at the form of direct investments or at the form of Saudi-American joint projects'. Prince Abdullah noted that the existing strong Saudi-American political relations should be accompanied by strong economic relations, and said 'I view the Saudi-American Business Council as the best channel for building strong relations between the two countries and between the establishments of the private sector in them'.
