Prince Saud pointed out that the talks included the situation in Iraq, and said Prince Abdullah had underlined the importance of the participation of all concerned parties in the political solution of the problem. Prince Saud noted that the Americans had confirmed their keenness on preserving the unity and independence of Iraq and the establishment of a government that capable of managing the affairs of Iraq. Prince Saud made it clear that the Saudi domestic affairs were not discussed during the Saudi-American talks.
