Baghdad, July 16, SPA -- Three British soldiers were killedearly Saturday during hostile action in southern Iraq, theBritish command said. The clash occurred in the southern city of Amarah, locatedin Maysan province north of Basra, the British commandsaid. "We can confirm that three soldiers from South ForceMaysan have died from injuries sustained in hostile actionin the early hours of Saturday morning," a Britishspokesman said on customary condition of anonymity. He said more details would be released later.
