Beijing, June 1, SPA -- China's Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing andhis U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesdaydiscussed arrangements for visits by their countries'leaders, the government said. They spoke by phone while Li was on his way toVladivostok, Russia, to meet with his Russian and Indiancounterparts, China's official Xinhua News Agency said. Chinese President Hu Jintao plans to visit the UnitedStates before the end of the year, and U.S. PresidentGeorge W. Bush also will visit China, according to theChinese government. Dates have not been set for the visits. The trip would be Hu's first to Washington as China's headof state.
