London, April 6 (SPA) - Britain bolstered its special forces on Wednesday by adding an elite surveillance regiment to the core SAS and SBS regiments. The Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) will provide covert surveillance for the Special Air Service (SAS) and Special Boat Service (SBS), as well as for regular troops. "The creation of the Special Reconnaissance Regiment demonstrates our commitment to shaping our Armed Forces to meet the ongoing challenge of tackling international terrorism," said Defense Minister Geoff Hoon.
