Thailand Pattani, March 20, SPA -- At least one person was killedand 13 wounded when two bombs apparently targeting securityofficials exploded in southern Thailand Sunday, officials said. One explosive tore through a riverside pavilion in Yalaprovince, killing a civilian and injuring six policeofficers and three civilians, said Police Col. EkapoPrasitwatanachai. "The bomb was apparently targeting police officersbecause it exploded as they arrived at the spot," Ekapobsaid. Police, he said, normally patrolled the area at thesame time each morning.
