Sharm Al-Sheikh, Egypt, May 6, SPA -- Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak of Egypt held a meeting at the Crown Prince's guest residence in Sharm Al-sheikh tonight. Crown Prince Abdullah briefed President Mubarak on the contents of the talks he had separately with France's President Jacques Chirac and U.S. President George W. Bush and senior officials of the two countries during his recently-concluded visits to the Republic of France and the United States of America. The talks in Sharm Alsheikh covered the positive and fruitful benefits of the visits to the Arab and Islamic nations and ways of enhancing their relations with the two friendly countries. During the meeting, Crown Prince Abdullah and President Mubarak also discussed the overall developments at the Arab and Islamic arenas, led by the Palestinian cause and the situation in Iraq. They also discussed the developments at the international arena and the position of the two countries towards them in addition to aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields of mutual interests. The meeting was attended by the Saudi official delegation accompanying the crown prince. The Egyptian side included Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazeef; Minister of Defense and Military Production General Hussein Tantawi; Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-Ghait; Minister of Information Dr. Anas Alfaqih; and Minister at the Republican palace Omer Sulaiman. Later, Crown Prince Abdullah and President Mubarak also held a closed-door meeting. President Mubarak, then, hosted a dinner party in honor of Crown Prince Abdullah.
