Riga, May 6, SPA -- U.S. President George W. Bush arrived in Riga Friday ahead of attending World War II victory day celebrations in Moscow. Bush's trip to the Latvian capital will also include talks with the country's president as well as the presidents of Lithuania and Estonia. During his talks, the German news agency "DPA" said the U.S. leader is expected to call on the Baltic states to respect the rights of the large Russian-speaking minorities living in their nations. The Bush visit to Latvia will be the second by a U.S. president. President Bill Clinton visited the country in 1994 shortly after it gained independence from Moscow. --SPA 1048 Local Time 0748 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/260272
