Kabul, Dec 7, SPA -- Militants attacked an Afghanborder post and an American patrol near the Pakistanifrontier, sparking battles in which at least eight rebelsand four Afghan soldiers were killed, officials saidTuesday. One rocket was fired near Kabul on Monday evening. In the bloodiest overnight incident, insurgents armed withassault rifles and rockets attacked the base of Afghangovernment troops near Tana, a town in southeastern Khostprovince, their commander said.
