Kabul, April 19, SPA -- A group of Afghan men releasedfrom the U.S. military jail at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba havearrived in Afghanistan and are being turned over to localauthorities, officials said Tuesday. Abdul Wakil Omari, a spokesman for the Afghan SupremeCourt, said the men would be formally handed over during aceremony at the court later Tuesday. He did not say howmany prisoners had been released, but other officials putthe number at 17. It was not clear if the men will face charges in theirhome country.
