Beirut, April 19, SPA -- Prime Minister-designate NajibMikati announced Tuesday he had formed a Cabinet, endingmore than six weeks of delay in trying to set up agovernment for Lebanon. "This is a no-grudge government and the beginning ofmaking the future," Mikati told reporters. "This Cabinet represents all Lebanese sects," Mikatisaid shortly after meeting President Emile Lahoud andparliament Speaker Nabih Berri at the presidential palace. Mikati told reporters Monday that the main goal of thegovernment he was trying to form would be "passing theelection law and holding general elections within theconstitutional time-frame." It was the first time Mikatihad specifically mentioned the May 31 deadline.
