Gaza city, Gaza Strip, Jan 6, SPA -- Israeli troops shot andkilled on Thursday a member of "Hamas" group who attacked a Jewishsettlement in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army and Palestinianofficials said. The member, who was not immediately identified, fired at troops carrying out a routine patrol along the perimeter of the Jewish settlement of Ganei Tal. A gun battle erupted, and the soldiers killed the gunman, the Israeli army said.
